Old Business

  • Community fan bus update:  The bus to the Alconbury track meet was cancelled due to lack of interest.  However; the bus to the AF North soccer games was a success.  There were approximately 35 fans who rode the bus.  The bus chaperone was not necessary due to the fact that no students rode the bus un-accompanied.  The fan bus that was tentatively planned for the 16 May away soccer games at ISB has been cancelled.

New Business

  • A monetary request from the coaches was presented by the Athletic Director.  The BAS coaching staff would like an additional video recorder to enable at least two teams competing at the same time in different locals to record their performances.  Along with the recorder, the coaches were also requesting a 5-hour battery.  This request was approved not to exceed $500.
  • Another monetary request was presented by the Athletic Director.  Because of past failures to deliver teams to the correct venue on time without getting lost, the AD requested the purchase of a GPS unit for the buses.  The software for this unit would have to be specific; buses cannot utilize GPS units that the average car-driver owns because of the bus’s height and width.  This monetary request was tabled for further discussion.

The next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for 4 June, 2008.

The meeting was adjourned approximately 1:00.

Respectfully submitted,

Secretary
